An IAEA release said that today's pledge by Kuwait followed contributions by Norway ($5 million), the United States ($50 million), the United Arab
Emirates ($10 million) and the European Union (€25 million or $32 million). NTI noted that the overall contribution, which now totals $157 million, exceeded the $100 matching goal set by Warren Buffet. Thus, the amount necessary for creation of the NTI/IAEA fuel bank has been secured.
