The last operational plutonium production reactor, ADE-2 at the Mining and Chemical Combine in Zheleznogorsk, was stopped at 16:15 local time on February 4, 2010 because of a failure of a fuel element. The fuel element and the technological channel were replaced and the reactor was reported to be ready to resume operations at 16:00 on February 6, 2010.
